Lane Cake Traditional

Lane Cake - This cake was first published in 1898 by Emma Rylander lane of Clayton, Alabama and is still considered a traditional celebration cake in the South.  The cake is a simple, light white cake perfect for any time of year.  We blanket each layer with the traditional Lane Cake filling of  raisins and bourbon.  You can have your choice of this original filliing, or the modern filling, which adds pecans and coconut.  Either way, the historical Lane Cake is a wonderful experience. For shipping purposes we'bve replaced the traditional 7-minute frosting with a Marshmallow Buttercream.
